Villa Verde is set back in the hills above Yalıkavak, on the Bodrum peninsula, where the roads are quiet and the gardens are green. The house is arranged around a central courtyard that stays shaded through the middle of the day.

A long lap pool runs down one side of the garden, edged in local stone, with a covered dining terrace at the far end. The planting is mature, with olive and citrus trees that came with the plot.

The five bedrooms are simple and cool, with thick walls that keep the heat out. The marina, with its restaurants and berths, is a ten-minute drive down the hill.
