Villa Serena

A lakeside villa near Menaggio with a private mooring, a boathouse and a garden that runs to the water.

Villa Serena sits on the western shore of Lake Como, a few minutes from Menaggio. The garden falls in terraces to a private waterfront, with a mooring and a boathouse that could take a small launch.

The villa keeps its traditional proportions on the outside, with shuttered windows and a tiled roof, but the interior has been opened up. The main salon runs front to back and opens onto a loggia that looks straight across the lake to Bellagio.

There are five bedrooms, a cellar cut into the hillside, and a caretaker's cottage by the gate. The lake steamers stop at Menaggio, and Milan is around ninety minutes by car.
