Villa Aurelia

A new villa above Kalkan bay, built into the hillside, with a heated pool and a roof terrace.

Villa Aurelia was completed in 2023 on a steep plot above Kalkan, and the architect has used the slope well. The house reads as a single storey from the road and opens up over three levels towards the bay, so the sea view is present from the moment you walk in.

The pool terrace is the middle level, sheltered from the wind and warm into the evening thanks to underfloor heating that runs out to the stone. A separate roof terrace above catches the breeze in high summer.

Inside, the finish is restrained: pale stone floors, plaster walls and oak joinery. Five bedrooms all face the water, and the lower level has its own lounge and kitchenette for guests.
